Dataflow has developed a special purpose Document management system, FormCap, for scanning and capturing paper forms. These forms can be indexed in a very flexible way and are stored on a central server. These can be searched on multiple fields and retrieved easily. The access to the scanned JPGs and PDFs is given to users in a controlled manner. The system is designed to handle hundreds of thousands of documents using moderate hardware and the typical access time is under 1 second.

Dataflow has introduced Vehicle Tracking Units (VTUs) for tracking the movement of vehicles such as Cars, Buses, Trucks, Tractors and Trolleys. These units get the current position of the vehicle using GPS and transmit it to the base station using GSM protocol (same as used by the Mobile phones). The places where GSM network is not available, the messages are stored internally and sent when the network connection becomes available. The exact location of any vehicle can be seen worldwide using just an internet browser.

Dataflow's FAST (Fleet Assignment, Scheduling & Tracking) software is a solution geared for the transportation industry needing to manage their fleet of vehicles in an efficient manner. It maintains the details of Drivers, Routes and Vehicles. Planning of Trips can be done in a flexible way, so that the availability of all the necessary resources can be ensured for a set of jobs on a given route on the given dates. It also has records of the Vehicle problems, as well as the time-parts details of the in-house maintenance done on them. By recording the actual and budgeted fuel & other expenses, it is easy to find the profitability of any trip undertaken.

Dataflow has expertise in handling non-Latin scripts. The Content Management solution designed by Dataflow can handle total management of the content - right from data entry to its preservation and presentation in the CD format. Various stages of creation of the raw data (say in a language such as Devanagari & Gujarati) are handled by the software. The software also manages various links inherent in such a job, with pointers to the translations in various other languages such as Hindi and English. The content will be created on a client-server system and will be put in smaller local databases for fitting individual publications on CDs.

Dataflow has supplied a multi-user, client-server based business management system (mini-ERP/ERM) to a well known Beauty Parlour chain. The solution encompasses all the activities of their service conscious centres, including the CRM, Service scheduling, billing, staff attendance and allocation, Product sales, purchasing, inventory, etc. The unique points are maintaining the service-staff preferences on per-customer basis and handling the automatic consumption of products during the rendering of a service. The software includes the use of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) cards for staff attendance and tracking. The embedded software for the RFID card reader has also been designed by Dataflow.

Dataflow has developed both hardware and software for the complex controllers for a self contained, photographic Mini Lab. The development was done in record time and within budget and slashed the sizes of the original hardware boards to less than 1/4 ^th original size. The system complexity has been considerably reduced by the judicious use of hardware/software mix. The mini-labs using this controller have been active in the field for the last couple of years.

Dataflow has been providing RFID enabled solutions for Document tracking, Asset and Inventory tracking, Employee Attendance systems etc. We provide these solutions using the RFID technology utilizing the appropriate frequency bands. Dataflow uses its expertise in embedded systems and PC applications development to optimize the solutions to cater to their customer requirements. Dataflow is also involved in the middleware suitable for filtering out the useful information out of the large volume of data generated by continuous scanning of the multiple RFID tags in the field.

Dataflow has disigned a microcontroller based Cutter to replace the manual cutting of photographs. The modern needs of fitting 20 or 36 small photos on a print are made practical due to the fast cutting ability. This cutter has 100 'channels' each storing the distances of cuts to be made. Each channel separately stores the cuts for the X and the Y axes, and the cuts may be repeated upto 255 times. Again, both the hardware and the software for this cutter have been designed by us. The cutter has gone to the manufacturing phase.

Dataflow has developed an SMS sending software - 'SMS Communicator'. With the help of this software and the GSM modem you can send SMS to all or to a few selected mobile numbers which are in your database. Message can be sent to thousands of numbers with just one click of the 'Send' key. You can send even long messages. You can even send messages to new mobile numbers by typing the name and number in the boxes provided. Provisions are made to de-select the addressee. Some special fields are available while composing the message to personalise it. The message will be sent one by one. At any time you can stop sending the message and restart. It will resume from where it had stopped. You may 'Save' the message for reuse. The messages sent will be saved for future reference and/or use. You can view the sent messages by pressing the 'View Sent' button and selecting the date range.
